MALM Bed With SULTAN ALSARP Storage [IKEA Hack]

This is an amazing discovery to a very low-profile bed (which I own). As of now I can’t put anything under my bed because it has a clearance of less than 5 inches. However, one blogger discovered that a full-size SULTAN ALSARP ($270) will fit perfectly inside a full-size MALM ($179) bedframe after taking out the galvanized steel midbeam. The bed also goes for $10 less without the midbeam.

This will raise the mattress from its sunken depths, but that might make it even better since it’s a huge pain in the ass to change the sheets with a heavy full-size mattress. Perfect for all your linen storage, winter clothes, or whatever else you like to keep under your bed.
